Terms of Service for Fort Nelson First Nation Members

Welcome to Fort Nelson First Nation Hub, a private online community that fosters growth, support, and meaningful connections for our members. By joining our community, you agree to abide by these Terms of Service (TOS). Please read them carefully.

1. Membership Eligibility

• Membership is exclusive to members of Fort Nelson First Nation
• All Members must share our respect, authenticity, and personal growth values.
• By joining, you agree to follow the community guidelines outlined below.

2. Community Values and Behavior

We aim to maintain a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment. To uphold this standard, members must adhere to the following principles:

a. Respectful Communication

• Always communicate respectfully, even in moments of disagreement.
• Harassment, hate speech, or any form of discrimination based on race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, or other personal characteristics will not be tolerated.

b. Constructive Engagement

• Engage constructively with other members, providing thoughtful and considerate feedback when invited.
• Avoid language or behaviour interpreted as hostile, offensive, or dismissive.

c. Confidentiality

• Respect the privacy of other members by keeping shared information within the community confidential.
• Do not share screenshots, personal details, or community content outside this space without explicit permission.
• All content shared in Fort Nelson Frist Nation Hub is intended for members only and must not be shared, copied, or distributed outside the community.

d. Account Security

• Do not share your login credentials, username and password with anyone. You are solely responsible for maintaining the security of your account.

3. Prohibited Conduct

To maintain the integrity of Fort Nelson First Nation Hub, the following actions are strictly prohibited:

• Spamming, advertising, or self-promotion without prior approval.
• Sharing or distributing harmful, illegal, or explicit content.
• Engaging in disruptive behaviour, including trolling or intentionally provoking other members.

4. Account Suspension or Termination

Violating these Terms of Service may result in suspending or terminating your membership.

a. Immediate Suspension or Termination

• Any disrespectful or harmful communication may result in the immediate loss of access to the community.

b. Review Process

• In cases of reported misconduct, an investigation will be conducted to ensure fair treatment. Decisions made by the community moderators are final.

5. Content Ownership

• Members retain ownership of the content they post. However, by posting, you grant Fort Nelson First Nation Hub a non-exclusive license to share and display your content within the community.
• Content violating copyright or intellectual property laws will be removed immediately.
• Do not share community content, discussions, or member interactions outside of Fort Nelson First Nation Hub.

6. Community Moderation

• Fort Nelson First Nation Hub reserves the right to edit, delete, or moderate posts and content to ensure alignment with these Terms of Service.
• Moderators are here to uphold the values of respect and inclusivity and have complete discretion in managing the community environment.

7. Note on Minors

• Although there isn’t an age restriction, parents are responsible for monitoring minors using the portal to ensure they adhere to these guidelines.

8. Changes to Terms of Service

• Fort Nelson First Nation Hub reserves the right to update these Terms of Service at anytime. Members will be notified of significant changes via email or community announcements.

9. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Fort Nelson First Nation Hub, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service.
