Thank you for considering employment with Fort Nelson First Nation. Our employees help us uphold our community-driven vision for a “Strong, Healthy, Proud, and Self-reliant” Nation.
Before applying for work with us please read the selected job posting to learn about preferred qualifications. Among our criteria is FNFN’s requirement for COVID-19 vaccinations. Depending on the job opportunity additional conditions may include a Police Records Check and a valid Canadian driver’s license.
Unless a job posting is identified as open until filled, all postings close at 11:59 p.m. on the day of closing. While we attempt to communicate with shortlisted candidates as quickly as possible, follow-up correspondence may take up to two weeks. While we appreciate all job seekers who consider us for employment, we will only reach out to those selected for further consideration. The basic steps of our recruitment and selection process include the following:
- Applications are collected until the date and time of cut off (or until the job is filled for ‘open’ postings).
- Human Resources staff review all applications collected by fax at 250-774-7260 and email recruitment@fnnation.ca and job seekers who submit by email will receive an auto responder message. If you do not receive an autoresponder message please check your spam folder and double-check that you spelled the email address correctly.
- Applications that demonstrate (in the resume and cover letter) meeting the minimum requirements are considered against all other applications.
- Shortlisted candidates may be required to submit additional information in our screening process, to assess qualifications further.
- When there is a large number of applications the employer reserves the right to screen and interview the top three applicants.
- Before an offer is made, verification of eligibility criteria will be requested, and references will be contacted.
General applications that do not identify a specific job posting may be held on file and considered for up to 6 months following the date of submission.
