At this time, I would like to take a few moments to bring our collective attention to the ongoing search for FNFN member Karen Tessier. As a Council, we have been directly involved in the search efforts, supporting Karen’s family in this time of need, and liaising with the RCMP. I extend my sincere gratitude to everyone who has contributed to the search efforts thus far.
We continue to ask that you immediately report anything that may look suspicious while out on the land between Fort Nelson and Fort St. John directly to the RCMP at 250-774-2777 or 1-800-222-8477.
Individual search efforts are greatly appreciated, but it is crucial that any potential evidence is not touched or otherwise disturbed. Locations of any findings should be immediately reported to the RCMP for thorough investigation.
We sincerely appreciate your efforts and support for Karen’s family and loved ones. We also urge anyone who has information about what happened to Karen to come forward and help us locate her.
Finding justice will serve us all, reinforcing the importance of safety for our members and our community. It is imperative that we work together to ensure the well-being and security of everyone within our community. Your cooperation and assistance are invaluable during this critical time.
In light of the ongoing search efforts, Council made the decision to postpone the Community Budget Presentation scheduled for July 18th to July 31st . We appreciate your patience as we all put our time and efforts where they are needed most at this time.
